If you have DBS account and this is the first time you deposit cash to your account, but you have no idea how to, no need to worry. The following paragraphs below will show you how to cash deposit DBS and all the things related.

Deposit Cash into a DBS Account via Cash Deposit Machines

There are three methods you can use on how to cash deposit DBS. But in the section, you will how to deposit money via Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) to your DBS account.

  1. Locate the nearest Cash Deposit Machine.
  2. Insert your DBS Credit/Debit/ATM card or Passbook.
  3. Insert your 6-digit card pin.
  4. Select “Cash Deposit
  5. Choose your preferred Language.
  6. Choose “Deposit to Own Account
  7. Choose the Account you would like to deposit to.
  8. Place the money properly in the cash slot and select “to continue
  9. Confirm the total deposited amount, select “Confirm
  10. Collect your card and receipt.

Deposit Cash into another DBS Account

  1. Locate the nearest Cash Deposit Machine.
  2. Insert your DBS Credit/Debit/ATM card or Passbook.
  3. Insert your 6-digit card pin.
  4. Select Cash Deposit
  5. Choose your preferred Language.
  6. Select Deposit to Other Account.
  7. Select the Type of Account and enter the Account Number you wish to deposit to.
  8. Place your cash properly in the cash slot facing down and select To continue.
  9. Confirm your total deposited amount and select Confirm.
  10. Collect your ATM/Debit/Credit Card and Receipt.

Can I Deposit Foreign Currency into My DBS Account?

You can deposit a foreign currency into your account. However, you will need an existing FCFD (Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit) account before you can make any FCFD placement via DBS internet banking.

Can I Deposit DBS Check at POSB Bank?

Yes, you can. You are allowed to deposit cheques at any DBS/POSB branch into a collection box. You can deposit both local and foreign currency cheques.

For the deposit, keep in mind to always provide the correct DBS account number and contact number of the recipient at the back of the cheque.

Can I Deposit Coins into My DBS Account?

You can deposit your coins into a DBS account using the upgraded DBS Coin Deposit Machines.

You can also deposit your coins at any DBS branches on Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30am to 11.30am.

Can I Deposit S$2 and S$5 in DBS Cash Deposit Machine?

Unfortunately, you can’t. Currently, DBS banks do not accept S$2 and S$5 in their older machines.

But that money will be accepted in the newer devices. If you can’t find any upgraded machine, you can still deposit them at any DBS branch.

How much is the Fee for Coin Deposit in DBS?

If you use the DBS coin deposit machine to deposit your coins, per coin you will be charged $0.012.

The fee is free before the child reaches 16 when the coins are placed in the POSBkids account.
